On December 1, 2024, KVUMDHO Arts and Science College in Pookkarathara observed World AIDS Day, a global event dedicated to raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and showing solidarity with people affected by the virus. The celebration was organized by the Ethnographic Theatre Club as part of a broader initiative to educate the student body about HIV prevention, the importance of regular testing, and the need to eliminate stigma surrounding those living with HIV/AIDS.
This year's theme for the event centered on "Empathy, Awareness, and Prevention." The day’s activities included a short film screening, followed by a discussion, and a performance by the Ethnographic Theatre Club aimed at promoting understanding and encouraging responsible attitudes toward HIV/AIDS.
