Career Guidance for plus two students

Department of psychology at KVUMDHO Arts and science college Pookkarathara conducted a career guidance class for plus two students of Humanities Batch at DHOHSS Pookkarathara. The session was named as UNLOCK THE POWER OF PSYCHOLOGY. The session was started at 11 AM with the welcome speech by principal Dr. Hashim sir and then felicitation by vice principal Jishad sir. Then the Head of the Department Ms Ahsana V A handled the session very well. This programme was organized to introduce plus two students to the field of psychology and its various aspects and to provide guidance on career opportunities and higher education options in psychology and also to help students to understand the relevance of psychology in everyday life and its applications. The programme started with an introduction to psychology with power point presentation. Then discussed various career options including clinical, counselling, Research and teaching. Higher education options in psychology such as undergraduate and post graduate degrees were also explored. The session ended at 12.30 PM with game and such activities done by other faculties of psychology department.
