K.V. Ustad Memorial Darul Hidaya Orphanage Arts and Science College for Women has earned a strong academic reputation since its founding in 2003. It is an affiliated institution under the University of Calicut, well acclaimed for its academic excellence and recognized for its achievements in literary and extracurricular fields. This self-financing postgraduate college, with minority status, is managed by the Ponnani Taluk Muslim Orphanage Association, established in 1983. The prime mission of this institution is to empower and enlighten women through academic excellence embedded with moral values, enabling them to face challenges and lead successive generations.

The college offers seven undergraduate courses and three postgraduate courses. Additionally, the college conducts skill-oriented add-on courses, which equip students to face the highly competitive job market with self-confidence. The institution also caters to the weaker sections of society by providing coaching classes for entry into services, competitive exams, and remedial classes for academically weak students.
