The department of geology is one of the diverse departments of K.V.U.M.Darul Hidaya Arts and Science College for Women. The department was established in the year 2015 as an undergraduate department with the introduction of B.Sc Geology programme. The department has shown good results every year. The 3 year in Geology aims to impart comprehensive knowledge on Earth Science and natural resource management based on various branches of Geology along with their application. It is one of the leading departments of the college with excellent learning environment, well-equipped lab, well-organized geological museum wide range of geological specimens, and a well-stocked library.

To reach out the society to solve the issues of geological concern such as natural resource management, natural disaster mitigation and climate change adaptation.
The student will understand the process what happening beneath our living planet with mutual bonding of physics and chemistry as subsidiary subjects. The student will learn the theoretical, physical and chemical combinations under the earth surface to divert to different applications of geology. The student will acquire a foundation in geology including basic knowledge in climatic change, evolution of earth, atmospheric matters.
